7 TIPS TO TURN YOUR STUDIO APARTMENT INTO A WORK OF ART
Small spaces are cozy and easy to maintain, but they can also be challenging. Fitting an entire life into one functional, beautiful room is not impossible. Here are 7 tips to turn your studio apartment into a work of art:
Tip #1: Closet Conversion
Need office space? Convert a closet! Paint the wall a color you love, hang drapes for privacy, and so you can “close” the door once your workday is done.
Tip #2: For the Love of Lucite
Using furniture pieces that are see-through help make a space breathe and feel larger. Wicker and lattice work, too.
Tip #3: Flip or Flop
If you’re clamoring for more space think about building a tabletop that flips down when you need it, and flips up when you don’t.
Tip #4: Shelving It
Shelves are a must-have for a studio apartment. They extend closet space, kitchen storage, office organization, and bedroom bedlam. Built-ins like these are great, but if that’s not an option for your studio apartment, floating wall shelving works just as well.
Tip #5: Divide and Conquer
Speaking of shelving, open shelves make for fantastic room dividers. Who needs walls?
Tip #6: Get Lofty
Think about getting a loft bed. It ‘ll maximize the space and it looks cool to boot. Use the under bed area for an office or loveseat lounge.
Tip #7: Mirror, Mirror
It’s no secret mirrors make a space appear larger, and they’re perfect for studio apartments. They come in tons of different styles and sizes, too. Don’t be afraid to go big, even in a small room.
