GET OUT: SUPER AFFORDABLE DIY OUTDOOR STORAGE
There’s still a sliver of summer left and we continue to be in organizational mode from all the time we spent indoors looking at the same four walls (and messy closets!) Here’s 5 DIY outdoor storage ideas to keep your backyard, patio, garage, or porch in order:
1. Crate It
Stack them two, three, four high to house your most essential outdoor items. We love the idea of stacking some on the front porch for guest shoe storage. Wooden crates are so affordable and versatile, you’ll be thinking of new ways to use them all year long.

2. Peg It
Pegboard is a great way to organize tools in the garage, garden shed, or patio. It’s easy to find at your local home improvement store. Don’t forget wire, baskets, hooks, and/or nails depending on how you want to hang your stuff. If you really want to get creative, paint the pegboard with a pop of your favorite color before building your personalized storage system.

3. Swing It
Love to sit on your front porch swing and read? Just mount a magazine/book holder to the side of your swing. It’ll keep your porch from looking disheveled, and you’ll never be without great reading material.

4. Table It
Stack some wooden pallets for a cute coffee table. Store magazines on the “shelves” and put some pretty plants on top. Viola! Instant, affordable, outdoor chic.

5. Cinder Chic
Cinderblocks can be used for a multitude of outdoor storage solutions like this cute, inexpensive potting station. Pot and store all your essentials in one place.
