With a self-starting attitude, the ideal Sales/Customer Service Specialist loves to talk on the phone and listen carefully to customers’ needs, aligning them with our services.
Giving amazing customer service and creating relationships with vendors comes naturally to her/him.
Upbeat and detail-oriented, this organized professional is able to book and manage the calendars of our 8 designers. Additionally, the right person has admin skills and is able to quickly work online. She/he emails clearly with great punctuation and grammar.
This team player is honest, prompt, and genuinely cares about the customer experience.
The duties for this Sales/Customer Service position include, but are not limited to, the following items:
Explaining our services and booking appointments. You’ll answer client inquiries via phone and email, book packages, and follow up with clients. (Note: A requirement for this position is that you are available to answer calls in a quiet place Mon.- Fri. from 9:30am-5:30pm EST or part-time from 9:30am-1:30pm or 1:30-5:30pm.)
Online shopping. You’ll place orders for our clients online and via our trade reps, as well as manage item returns and handle any issues.
General operations. You’ll manage our designers’ schedules, review their order lists, and engage in general administrative work.
at least 3 years of work experience
customer service experience
strong oral communication skills
excellent phone skills
detail-oriented and meticulous in reviewing work
clear writer with appropriate grammar/punctuation
a quiet, professional workspace
a high school diploma
background in sales
experience working for a small business
proficiency in Google suite
interest in interior design
love for online shopping
$15-20/hour based on experience

Our design firm is a small team of superstars. Founded in 2005 and originally based in NYC, we have expanded in the past couple of years to the Westchester area. In addition to all the boroughs of New York City, we offer our design expertise to New Jersey, Connecticut, and Long Island.
While we are small, we are mighty. We have been featured in numerous press outlets including NBC's Today Show, HGTV, Lifetime, DIY Network, Wall Street Journal, and many more. We also offer educational events, master classes, and night classes for design enthusiasts. We have a hardcover design book, weekly podcast, regular Facebook Live events, a blog, and are expanding to new forms of media as well.
We are rapidly growing and are excited for the new opportunities that brings for both marketing and national expansion.
